Child Care at the Y

The values and skills learned early in life are vital building blocks for a successful adulthood, and we believe all kids deserve a strong start and a safe place to grow. Parents trust the Y’s child care programs to support and nurture their children from infancy through the teen years and help them become strong, capable and engaged young people.

Outdoor Play

At the YMCA, we acknowledge that play is a vehicle for natural learning and investigation. Our YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum supports health through regular exposure to the outdoors, recognizing the outdoor classroom as equivalent to the indoor classroom. Unstructured play is about following the child’s lead and supporting their curiosities and interests while building their resilience and confidence.

We're making it easier for YMCA Child Care families to connect to the small moments and big milestones of their child's day, through our YMCA app - WeemarkableTM.

WeemarkableTM allows you to see your child's day with a quick tap of the app! Photos, the weekly menu, daily observations about your child's play, rest and physiological needs are captured and shared throughout the day.
